Equipment for Small Grains


Chisel plows may be used for the first incorporation only. Operate at 4-5 inches deep and 4-6 mph. With 14-18 inch sweeps.

Tandem Disc: Operate at 3-4 inches deep and 4-6 mph.

Field Cultivator: Operate 3-4 inches deep and 5+ mph. Sweeps with -C or S shape shanks with centers no greater than 7 inches

Planting Directions: Set planting equipment to place seed approximately 2 inches deep.

Incorporation Directions: Incorporate one time within 24 hours. Second time before planting. Final tillage should be no deeper than first tillage. 4EC-apply a minimum of 10 gallons of water per acre by ground.
